Description[]
A Changing Portrait of a beautiful young woman holding a feather, while standing next to an ancient ruin; the portrait morphs to show the feather turn into an axe and a carving of the woman's unfortunate fiancé appear on the old stones.
Behind the scenes[]
This piece was meant to be one of the Changing Portraits but was eventually deleted. It later served as inspiration for Constance Hatchaway. The Axe Portrait (KEL DA 012), by Kelly Green, directly casts Constance Hatchaway as the Axe Lady seen in DAV CA 009. At any rate, the portrait is inspired by the famous portrait of The Honourable Mrs. Graham, by Thomas Gainsborough, which is nearly identical to the 'untransformed' phase of the Changing Portrait.
